About
Amanda Mujica
Amanda Mujica gained
experience costuming and stitching by interning in the costume
shop of the American Repertory Theatre, stitching for other theaters,
such as the North Shore Music Theater, designing costumes for
theatres such as PetBrick and Arlington Friends of the Drama
and working in Boston's largest costume retail shops.
Some of her favorite production work includes Edward II (nominated
for Best Costume Design by the Independent Reviewers of New England,
2002), Julius Caesar, Working, City of Angels, Long Day's
Journey Into Night, The Tempest and the Water Engine.
She has experience working in theatre, film, ballet and on
special events.
She has completed coursework in costume design, patternmaking,
textile printing and design and garment construction at Rhode
Island School of Design, Massachusetts College of Art and the
School of Fashion Design.
Amanda is a member of the Eastern Massachusetts Association of
Community Theaters, Stage Source and the National Costumers'
Association.
Located in Boston, Amanda Mujica Design employs women seamstresses
who carefully ensure that all costumes are constructed acurately,
on time and within our customers' budgets.
